So small beside the majestic draft horse, the magpie stands with a remarkable sense of trust.
There seems to be an unspoken understanding between the two, perhaps even a certain fondness. Are they familiar neighbours, or is this their very first meeting?
One day, while driving home, I caught a glimpse into my neighbour's farmyard. It was a brief moment, but one that stayed with me and eventually inspired this painting.
